A consultant of Pediatric Ophthalmologist, DR. ADEDAYO ADIO says Down Syndrome is caused by excess chromosome, which she further disclosed that their physical appearance always looks like one who is not as strong  as other children. ''The cause of the Down syndrome is from the chromosome. Instead of been two they will be three. Those chromosomes are problematic. Instead of been 21 they will be 22. Building collapse: FEAR OF MORE BUILDING COLLAPSE - ARCHITECTS

Architect TOM INKO-TARIAH said building is like the doctor and the patients, adding that if the patients fails to adhere to the doctors prescription it might result to death. CLONE IDAI: 1000 DEATH, 600,000 DISPLACE, WHO SENDS URGENT HEALTH ASSISTANCE

Elfredah Kevin Barely a week Clone idai displaced over 600,000 persons killing more than 1000 persons in the northern provinces of Niassa, Tete and Zambezia, World Health Organization (WHO) is  providing urgent assistance to meet the health needs of thousands of people impacted by flooding in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.  According to report, the floods were triggered by Tropical Cyclone Idai, which swept through the region last week.  Cyclone Idai, which formed over the northern Mozambique channel, made landfall at the port of Beira and left 500 000 residents without power and means of communication.  The Government of Mozambique estimated  more than 1 000 people may have died, with 600 000 persons affected in the northern provinces of Niassa, Tete and Zambezia.  Also, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimates that a total of 1.6 million people have been affected in the three countries. ...

Woke Kevin The Lagos State Government has official released  figures of pupils and adult who died in Wednesday’s collapsed building on Lagos Island. In a press conference at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Lagos, State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris disclosed that 20 children and adult died in the collapsed building. According to him, the corpses have been released to the families for burial, adding that  45 persons survived the collapse and were managed across some of the state health facilities, including Lagos Island General Hospital,  Massey Street Children’s Hospital,  Onikan Health Centre and the Gbagada General Hospital. It was reported that the Ohen Nursery and Primary School was on the last floor, and pupils were inside learning when the building collapsed. 50 children is said to have been rescued by Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, as well as other security agencies. DOG BITS PUPILS, ONE KILLED

Elfredah Kevin Rottweiler dog has bitten a pupil to death at the early hours of Wednesday, along Tessy road in Rumuagholu community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state   According to an eye witness report, that the gatekeeper of the dog's compound had opened the gate for the Rottweiler which he (dog) ran straight to a school owned by Assembly of God Church without a fence and bit  two children, killing one and the other is hospitalized. A source within the area said it took the intervention of a Mopol officer who shot the dog dead to rescue the second victim. Meanwhile, the gatekeeper has been arrested and detained, while the second victim is receiving treatment in a Hospital along Rumuagholu road and the remains of the first victim has been sent to mortuary.

Woke Kevin Governor Nyesom Wike and his Deputy Ipalibo Banigo at the memorial service in Abonnema   Rivers State Government has set up a committee to identify those killed during the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Abonnema, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.  According to the statement released by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, had it that the Committee also has the responsibility  of identifying  the soldiers who died during the Presidential and National Assembly elections and March 2, 2019. BREAKING : Court strikes out appeals of Tonye Cole, Rivers APC

Written by Elfredah Kevin The Appeal Court in Port Harcourt has struck out the appeal of Tonye Cole challenging the judgment of the Federal high court that delisted the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the ballot and restrict them from participating in the 2019 general elections in Rivers State The panel was led by Justice Isaiah Akeju in a unanimous judgement struck out the appeal for lack of merit. The Appeal Court said they align with several judgments and decisions of other courts in the matter and abide with the consequential orders of the Courts. The judges in the main suit also held that it will be an academic exercise if the court goes into other details of the suit, adding that their reliance on several comments on the matter is to avoid causing confusion on well-decided matters.
