NIGERIADECIDES2019: DISRUPTION IN SOME PARTS OF RIVERS STATE.

Voting in Rivers State started well, though some polling units got materials late, but most parts of the state experience peaceful election except few Local Government Areas as reported by our correspondent.
In Okrika Local Government Area, of Rivers State, voting ended peacefully.
TheGlobewindows correspondent who monitored the local government Area report that the election was peaceful except for ward 6,7,8,9 that materials where no way to be found and some complaints by electorate that ballot papers sent for the LGA were incomplete.
On his part, the Chairman of Okrika LGA, Philemon Iwoloma express worries over the hijacking of sensitize materials by some men suspected to be members of the All Progressive Congress with the help of security agents.
Philemon Iwoloma however urged INEC to council the election of Okrika ward 6,7,8 and 9.
On his part the Chairman of APC, debunked the claims by the OKrika chairman that APC hijacked the sensitive materials.
Speaking also, the Electoral officer of Okrika, LEO OKON also confirmed that the sensitive materials of ward 6,7,8&9 were missing, which he however disclosed that INEC headquarter are aware of the problems in Okrika.
Our correspondent also report that after the election votes were counted in the presence of electorate, afterwhich were taken to the council Secretariat by the INEC Officials.
Also during the process of voting some units were experiencing malfunction of the card reader.
Meanwhile at the end of the election is some units, there was shooting which some persons speculated it to be the security agents to clear the road that ballot papers to be taken to the council.
Also in Degema Local Government Area an adhoc staff identified as Ibisaki Amachree was shot on a her head by gunmen on her way back from the election in a boat.
Also in Bonny, it was reported as a bad day for Youth corps members and the electorate as gunmen invade polling units, many injured and some allegedly were killed by gunmen
In Akuku-Toru LGA, it was started well but along the line shooting started scaring people away.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission says no elections in the violent areas.
In meantime, INEC in Rivers State has started announcing results for presidential election in the state as some results were stepped down.
